OOH, ok. That makes sense, then.

Because I was wondering how you would scale up the biz if you were relying on forums for traffic.

Yeah, PPC can be quite an expensive learning curve. But is well worth it!

@Kunal
When I said I was using forums, I mean for link building only. Any traffic I get from forums would be a bonus, but the main idea is to get some PR juice. As far as "cutting back my PPC spending", well that didn't happen. haha. I have spent more on PPC this month than I have in the last 3 months combined. But I have learned a WHOLE hell of a lot. I'll be sharing that soon enough.

@Andrew
I have made $450 (about $200/month) with BANS so far, and this only with one store. I'm hoping my project-cars-for-sale.com site works out just as good.

Speaking of phpBay, I actually got my hands on a copy of it this past week and have setup some stores. What I would like to do is make an exact copy of one of my BANS stores with phpBay and see how they compare. From what I have seen so far, they are both VERY different, and both have their strengths and weakness'

Mad props Eric! I am going to be following your blog more closely than I have been. I always like to learn the latest affiliate strategies that work and am interested in your BANS series. I have considered purchasing a BANS, but haven't made the move yet. How much have you made so far from only BANS? Have you tried using phpBay?

Keep up the great work! ;)

Hey Eric, in an earlier month report you had said that you were reducing your PPC spending in favor of free advertising methods (forums, I think).

Now, to increase the success of a business (and generate more coin), there must be two characteristics: scalability and pipeline.

I don't think you will have a problem with pipeline, becuase you could probably set up more BANS sites for different niches, or perhaps stick with particular niche, and maybe cross promote between them.

However, if you pesonally had to sit in forums and plug out posts/responses, that could strain your ability for scaling up a business, obviously.

Whats the plan of attack?

I have been hitting PPC pretty hardcore lately, just trying to find different things that work, and i have spent a lot of money doing it.

Most of my expense is from AdWords, but some of the others include $50.00 to Facebook for a stupid experiment i did back in November, $25.00 to SumbleUpon ads because I misunderstood their system, and my 10+ domain names.

Thanks everyone, yes, it does work haha.

@Nathan: However you want to define it, the main point of this post was to show that I made $1000 online. Profit, Gross Profit, "Income", whatever it was, it totaled up to $1000 and I a, pretty happy about it
